TheSaint Joseph Mercy Health System 6 NorthMedical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is a 20-bed unit that provides servicesto older adolescent, adult, and older adult cardiac patients, acute and chronicHeart Failure patients, as well as medical/surgical patients who requirecardiac monitoring.. Servicesare provided to critically ill adult patient. Patients in the unit requirefrequent and close assessment, skillful and timely clinical interventions andsophisticated technical support to achieve aggressive treatment goals. Majorityof the patients within the unit have pulmonary diagnoses. Other commondiagnoses are gastrointestinal bleeding, sepsis, neurologic events and diabeticketoacidosis. Full-time Midnight opportunity, 7 pm to 7:30 am., every other weekend, with benefits. Extensive training provided for RN's seeking to gain critical care experience.
