We are looking for a full-time manager to serve as the point of administrative and clinical leadership for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NP), Clinical Care Coordinators (CCC), Physician Assistants (PA) and Registered Nurses (RN) in the clinic and procedural areas of the Congenital Heart Center. The manager will provide coordination between management and patient care activities consistent with the institutional and programmatic objectives for achieving high standards of pediatric cardiology and cardiothoracic patient care, as well as other institutional and programmatic goals and objectives, oversee and direct expert care to patients in the CHC within the individual collaborative agreement and scope of practice, develop and monitor the implementation of new standards and techniques, and exercise clinical nursing leadership over practice, staff development, and research.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.
Required Qualifications:
-Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
-Required Educational Requirement:
Masters degree in Nursing or a related field
If Masters degree is not in Nursing, a Bachelors degree in Nursing is required
- Strong knowledge of management and leadership principles and practices is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as manager and leader.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to perform as role model to nursing staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and demonstrated maximum collaboration in a team environment and matrix organization.
