Sr. Accountant - (Plymouth) in Ann Arbor, Michigan For Sale

Our client, a manufacturing company near Plymouth, seeks a SENIOR ACCOUNTANT to add to a successful team. This position has excellent growth and advancement opportunities. In this role, you will analyze and record a variety of business transactions; prepare monthly, quarterly, and year end schedules and reconciliations; assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements; prepare US GAAP compliance and disclosure review; assist with developing, maintaining, and monitoring accounting policies and procedures; and assist with various accounting projects. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial reporting Assist with various external reporting compliance requirements including, SEC and debt covenants Prepare technical accounting white papers through research and interpretation of applicable authoritative accounting literature under US GAAP Prepare account reconciliations and analytical review of various balance sheet and income statement accounts Prepare account working papers for quarterly reviews and year end audits Continuous development and strengthening of internal controls EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher Four or more years of accounting experience, public accounting, and/or SEC reporting experience a plus, CPA preferred Excellent understanding of US GAAP and internal controls Ability to understand complex transactions and write technical accounting white papers, reports, and procedure manuals Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills Experience working with SAP and/or BPC is a plus If you are a high performer and would like to work for an equally high performing company and you think the above opportunity is appropriate for you, we invite you to submit your resume in Microsoft Word format.
