This accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of professional accounting duties such as monitoring various general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries and financial reports and analyses, analyzing revenues and expenditures and conducting special analyses and projects. Additional duties include the following: 1. Prepares financial statements and reports relating to financial performance. Completes variance analyses comparing to prior periods and budget. 2. Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations. 3. Reviews accounting transactions for proper classification in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. 4. Functions as a resource person to provide assistance to other accountants and managers both within and outside the Finance Department. 5. Records bank deposits and processes transfers between bank accounts, when need. 6. Prepares reconciliations of general ledger accounts and ensures timely resolution of outstanding issues. 7. Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution.
