Director of Program and Shelter Operations Reports to: Executive Director Position Profile: The Director of Case Management and Operations reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for the overall program operation including: Residential Program; Non-Residential Program and the Clinic. General Responsibilities: 1. Oversee operations of Programs, ensuring quality and best practice services within the guiding principles of Social Work and community standards. Providing for scheduling of staff members and on call coverage. 2. Able to understand, produce and implement program policy and procedures 3. Review Grants and other regulations and ensure compliance in program and ensure all data collection for reports. 4. Direct supervisory responsibility includes Program Managers, Generalist Case Managers, Mental Health Coordinator; the Mental Health Case Manager, the Housing Coordinator; the Triage Case Manager and the Non Residential Services Case Manager. 5. Provide for regular Case Review; Manager Meetings OA staff meetings and Clinic Staff Meetings. 6. Participate in the Client Advocacy Committee and oversee the grievance process. 7. Institute program evaluation and program planning; assist program managers to evaluate, measure, and strengthen best practices and measurable outcomes. 8. Provide for the completion of all evaluations and HR documentation for all direct and indirect reports. 9. Provide guidance and supervision for the Operations and Clinic Managers. QUALIFICATIONS Masters degree preferred in social work, or public administration and at least 5 years of senior level experience in management of a not for profit program. Business Administration degree or experience a plus. LMSW certification required. Demonstrated understanding of the issues of Homelessness and Housing. Demonstrated understanding with successful experience, of management of personnel, program , utilizing outcomes and data for results, data collection and shared goal achievement Demonstrated successful experience with program evaluation and implementation. Strong computer skills The successful candidate will work well with teams and be adept at team building and performance measuring. Additionally, the person that fills this position must be: Able to, see the big picture and be self motivated Utilize good judgment while carrying out duties and protecting the agency Not easily intimidated; but non-threatening Able to be mindful of personal boundaries, ethical obligations and the primacy of client needs Mature in nature and professional in action Able to receive and give feedback Reliable and willing to work including holidays and weekends.
